WATCH: Armless table tennis player takes on world’s best

Ibrahim Hamato loved playing table tennis. But, at the age of 10 he lost his arms in an accident. Determined to play again, Hamato found a new way to play 3 years later.

“I wanted to play again holding the racket under my arm, but it didn’t work out,” said Hamato. “After trying different options, I found myself playing with my mouth.”

Hamato got the special opportunity to show off his skills at one of table tennis’ biggest stages, the World Team Table Tennis Championships in Tokyo, Japan.

ITTF President Adham Sharara invited Hamato as a special guest and the Egyptian native took full advantage, taking on some of the highest ranked players in the world with his unique style earning their universal praise.
