A rally in support of the kidnapped Nigerian school girls will be held in Vancouver this morning.
Organizers hope to create a human chain on the Burrard Street Bridge.
It’s been nearly a month since 276 girls have been abducted from from the Chibok Government Girls Secondary School on Apr. 14.
“We are doing it under the umbrella of #bringbackourgirls,” says rally organizer Nicola Aime. ” This is all about maintaining a focus on this issue, which is a huge human crime, and maintaining the pressure on Nigerian government and international leaders, keeping it afloat in the press and making sure these girls are not forgotten.”
The rally starts at 7 a.m.
Protesters are expected to gather at both ends of the pedestrian walkway across the bridge.
