Watch the video above: Saskatoon crash victim’s funeral
SASKATOON – A tragic collision claimed the lives of two teenagers in Saskatoon and residents said their emotional goodbyes to one of them at a funeral service held Saturday afternoon.
Friends and family gathered at 3rd Avenue United Church to honour the memory of 17-year-old Sarah Wensley.
Loved ones paid their final respects to honour a young life cut short.
She was in a vehicle that was struck by a stolen pickup truck at Avenue M and 22nd Street on Monday.
The horrific multi-vehicle crash took the lives of both Wensley and 17-year-old James Haughey.
A 16-year-old girl was hospitalized and is now listed in stable condition.
While Wensley’s life was cut short mere days ago, those in attendance say her legacy will last forever.
