Mother’s Day – by the numbers

Mother’s day, a time to celebrate the influence of mothers in society will be celebrated Sunday.

Although it’s been celebrated in North America since the earliest 20th century, the holiday can be traced to an ancient Greek celebration honouring  maternal goddesses (tell your mom that: She’ll be impressed).
