VERNON — It looks like investigators have solved a case dealing with mail thefts in the Okanagan.
Upwards of 200 mailboxes have been broken into in the past two weeks.
RCMP say it looks like they’ve caught the thieves — at least one of them.
The suspects are a man and a 21-year-old woman.
The woman was arrested Sunday in Vernon after trying to cash a stolen cheque at a local Money Mart.
Police say a search of the couple’s car found mail stolen from various Canada Post mailboxes in the Central and North Okanagan. They also recovered break-in tools.
The male got away but police say they’re working on some promising leads on his whereabouts.
Police are now in the process of making sure the stolen mail gets to their proper owners.
