Man suffers burns in Scarborough apartment fire

TORONTO – A man is in the hospital being treated for burns after an early morning fire in Scarborough.

The fire began around 2 a.m. an apartment on Lyndvalley Drive.

The male victim suffered burns after he tried extinguishing an oven fire in his kitchen.

Some neighbouring apartments were evacuated but no other injuries were reported.
