KELOWNA — It wasn’t a drug lab but authorities weren’t taking any chances.
The reported drug lab was suspected to be on the 18th floor of the Waterscapes complex on Sunset Drive in Kelowna.
Neighbours called the authorities after smelling fumes coming from the unit.

On Monday, police executed a search warrant and seized a small amount of marijuana butter.
The authorities brought out an army of personnel including Kelowna Fire Department, BC Ambulance and a Federal Lab Team.
RCMP say making marijuana butter poses an extreme risk of explosion and every occupant in the apartment building was put at risk.
The person who was making the marijuana butter was not home.
Police are looking for a 20-year-old male.
