WATCH: Pandosy waterfront will stay parkland

KELOWNA, B.C. – Kelowna City Council has voted unanimously to keep City owned lakeshore land around Cedar Avenue Park to develop into a larger park.

During a council meeting Monday, council heard suggestions from a public forum held in February.

While council initially suggested selling part of the park would help pay for improvements in the neighbourhood, it backed away entirely from selling any of the 13 lots it has acquired over the last 20 years.

Council has directed staff to look at further developing a plan for the property which would be developed into a 10,000 sq m park.
