Holly Decker gives Jessica some summer makeup tips

I love the look of summer make up! It’s so bright, and fresh looking. Time to rid your makeup bag of all your heavy dark winter makeup and replace it with bright lipsticks and cream blushes to get that dewy look for the season!

One item that Holly claims is a “must have” is the ‘Beauty Blender’, a tear shaped sponge that will transform the way you put on foundation or cover up.

I now own one (in pink I might add), and am very excited to try it to add to my new summer look!

Melissa lends a hand to the Meewasin Valley clean-up campaign

With the snow finally gone a lot of garbage from the winter has surfaced and to make sure we keep Saskatoon clean Meewasin has started up their annual cleanup campaign.

So far more than 26,000 people have signed up for the initiative. It is great to see how much this community supports an environmentally friendly society. This year Meewasin has introduced recycling bags for any recyclables that may be found during the clean.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

The campaign isn’t limited to the Meewasin area; participants are also encouraged to make their way across the different areas in Saskatoon to make sure they are garbage free as well. If you’re looking for more information you can visit the Meewasin Valley Authority office.

With BBQ season just around the corner, Jessica finds out some of the hot items this year

I know we’re all sick of these chilly temperatures and anxious to get outside and grill on the barbeque … and I’m guessing many people have already started!!

Peppers Kitchen brought in a number of gadgets that’ll help make your BBQ easier, with an Emilie Henry kabob pan with skewers, pizza stone and silicone suction lids to keep the food fresh, and bugs out (bonus!).

Maybe if we start acting like it’s summer, the warm weather will follow?

Ecole Canadienne Francaise celebrates Music Monday with Jessica

I believe this was the first time we’ve had a jazz band in studio, and it couldn’t have worked out better; what a great group of students!

You can see the passion for music from each and every one of them, behind their instrument. Music Monday is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year – for more information on it you can visit Music Monday.
