Pair charged after ERT called out to apartment building

Two people facing numerous charges after the emergency response team was called out to help Saskatoon police officers at an apartment building.

SASKATOON – Two people are facing numerous charges after the emergency response team was called out to help patrol officers at an apartment building Sunday afternoon in the Caswell Hill neighbourhood.

Saskatoon police have charged a 33-year-old man with 12 firearms related offences, breach of undertakings and possession of meth. He was also wanted on three criminal warrants.

A 23-year-old woman is charged with five firearms related offences, breach of undertakings and possession of meth.

Their names have not been released and both are scheduled to appear in court Monday.

The arrests happened several hours after police responded to the apartment building in the 200-block of 25th Street West.

Traffic was temporarily restricted in the area.
