WINNIPEG — RCMP are investigating two homicides on a Manitoba reserve within two days but say the deaths are not linked.
Officers were first called to Roseau River First Nation Friday. Charles Gordon Joseph French, 23, was found dead.
Police charged 30-year-old Richard Alex Johnson with second-degree murder in connection with French’s death. Both men are from the First Nation and knew each other, RCMP said.
Officers were called back to the community Saturday to investigate a separate homicide. No further details were available on the second death.
