TORONTO — Designers and TV personalities Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent tied the knot Saturday night in New York City.
Oprah Winfrey and Rachael Ray were among the 200 or so guests who attended the ceremony at the New York Public Library.
Berkus, 42, and Brent, 29, were engaged last year atop the famed Machu Picchu in Peru after about a year together.
Saturday night, according to People, Berkus wore a suit by J. Crew and Brent wore a Saint Laurent suit and the men exchanged gold bands from Van Cleef & Arpels.
Guests celebrated with the newlyweds at a party featuring music from DJ Mad Marj and performances by Gospel for Teens and singer Estelle.
Berkus, who became famous through guest appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show, hosted a daytime show of his own for two seasons. The interior designer has also written books and created collections of home goods for Target. He is currently hosting the series American Dream Builders.
Berkus lost his longtime partner Fernando Bengoechea in the 2004 tsunami.
Brent owns an interior design firm and is working on a TV series of his own.
