Calgary EMS was called to the scene of a fatal crash one kilometre east of Black Diamond around 8:15 a.m. Saturday morning.
A westbound car and an eastbound pickup truck collided on Highway 7.

The driver of the car, a 20-year-old man from Okotoks, suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck was treated for minor injuries at the Black Diamond hospital and then released.
Police continue to investigate the cause.
