Dog steals baseball gloves, hearts during SFU softball game

A four-legged aspiring softball player stole the show — and plenty of hearts — during a game between B.C.’s Simon Fraser University and Western Oregon University Sunday.

During the game hosted by the WOU Wolves, a dog ran out onto the field and stole two gloves right off the hands of two players.

A video posted to YouTube of the unorthodox play has since gone viral, garnering hundreds of thousands of views.

The dog reportedly entered through an open gate, first running to shortstop and stealing one glove before nabbing a left fielder’s glove as well.

The game marked the end of the season for SFU’s softball team, which finished with a 4-35 record.
