VANCOUVER – A Prince George man is in serious condition in Calgary after a plane crash.
Steve Kostamo was piloting the small plane on Thursday when it crashed shortly after takeoff from an amusement park. He is a contractor who works on amusement parks rides.

Kostamo had an approved flight plan for a nearby airport so it’s not clear why he was flying out of the parking lot for the amusement park.
The incident is now being investigated by the Transportation Safety Board.
