TORONTO – What may have been a boring afternoon for some Italian office workers turned into an afternoon of terror when a tornado slammed into their building Thursday.
The video captures the tornado in Nonantola, Modena, as it forms in the distance. Soon, debris is seen swirling in the air, close to the building.
Eventually, the tornado heads towards the building and the person recording is forced to seek shelter. He tells other people to get away before they head into a hallway.
It doesn’t appear that anyone was injured.
According to Italian media reports, there was damage to homes and buildings. People who were forced to leave their homes were able to return later that evening.
