KELOWNA, B.C. – The Kelowna Cardiac Exercise Society is celebrating its 40th anniversary in May.
Members pay $30 a month to access walking and strengthening classes at the Capital News Centre three days a week.
At 7 A.M., Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s, the group begins their activities, ending at 10 A.M.
Many of the 150 members believe they are still alive because of the post-heart attack program that was started by a Kelowna Cardiologist in 1974.
The group works with COACH (Central Okanagan Association for Cardiac Health) to follow up on doctor recommended exercises.
