Traffic re-opened after tractor trailer flips in busy Halifax shopping area

Halifax Regional Police were on the scene of a flipped tractor trailer in the Bayers Lake Industrial Park on Wednesday afternoon.

HALIFAX – The driver of a tractor trailer was taken to hospital with minor injuries Wednesday afternoon, after his vehicle flipped on a sharp turn in Halifax’s Bayers Lake Industrial Park.

The accident happened just after the noon hour on Chain Lake Drive near the entrance to Hwy 102.

The tractor trailer, which was transporting cranberries, tipped over in the outbound lane. Halifax Regional Police blocked traffic exiting the park for several hours, as they worked to remove the vehicle and clean up the fuel spill.

There were no other injuries.
