WEST KELOWNA — Employees at Home Hardware in West Kelowna were informed Tuesday that the store is closing.

It is estimated that 13 store employees will be losing their jobs.

One employee, who did not wish to be identified, told Global Okanagan that the owner came into the store yesterday to inform them that the store was closing, but did not explain why.

The store has been in operation for approximately seven years.

This closure is also affecting workers from the Kelowna location.

Some West Kelowna employees are being transferred to the Kelowna store, forcing some long-time workers of Kelowna to lose their jobs as well.
