VERNON — Vernon RCMP are convinced the dolls don’t belong to an alleged truck thief and want to return them to their rightful owner.
The dolls were seized last February as a result of a single vehicle crash near Highridge Road in Vernon.
“The officers determined the licence plate on the truck was reported stolen out of Lake Country,” says Vernon RCMP spokesman, Gord Molendyk.
He says it was obvious the dolls didn’t belong to the alleged truck thief.
“The six dolls appear to be in clothing that represent several different countries of the world. Four of them are likely in their original boxes,” says Molendyk.
“Perhaps we can get them back to the rightful owner.”
