WINNIPEG – Police and fire crews were on the scene Thursday afternoon of a crash involving a large transport truck on the Perimeter Highway.
RCMP say the 5-ton vehicle was turning eastbound from Highway 7 onto the Perimeter Highway at about 1:30 p.m. “when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it flipped on its side.”

The driver was trapped in the cab and fire crews had to cut him free. He went to hospital with “non life threatening injuries,” police said.
