UPDATE: Police find “car of interest” in Stanley Park murder

WATCH (above): Police hold a press conference about the woman’s body found early this morning in Stanley Park. This is Vancouver’s fifth homicide of the year.

UPDATE: The car has now been found by police.

Vancouver Police are now looking for a 2003 champagne-coloured four door Nissan Altima in connection with the homicide of a woman in Stanley Park last week.

The car has BC license plate 903 TXS, tinted windows and black wheels.

Anyone who sees this car, or knows its whereabouts, is asked to not approach it and call 911.

The vehicle is similar to the Altima in the photos below:

Vancouver Police are saying the death of a woman in Stanley Park at around 6 a.m. this morning is a homicide and it was targeted.

Police received a call from the park’s caretaker that the woman was in medical distress.

She has now been identified as 33-year-old Thi Yen Le from Surrey. Le was known to police.

Stanley Park Drive is open but drivers should expect delays due to intermittent closures while police investigate.

This is Vancouver’s fifth homicide of the year.
