Penticton man arrested following police pursuit

KAMLOOPS – Kamloops RCMP have a Penticton man in custody following a late night pursuit Tuesday involving a stolen pickup truck.

Police attempted to stop the vehicle on the Coquihalla highway but the driver kept going until hitting a spike belt.

He ran away from the disabled vehicle but was tracked down by a police dog and arrested.

The 29 year old Penticton man will likely be charged with dangerous driving and fleeing police.
