City of Saskatoon website having technical difficulties

SASKATOON – The city’s information technology (IT) team is currently working on Saskatoon’s website which was offline twice on Monday.

“Due to some technical difficulties the website is offline again. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to diagnose the problem,” according to the city’s Twitter account.

The city says a major power outage caused the servers to go offline around 9:30 a.m.

“Communications during power outage is definitely made more complicated when @cityofsaskatoon website is brought down too,” said city councillor Charlie Clark, via Twitter.

The site was back online around noon before technical difficulties struck again.

During this time, users may experience intermittent access to Saskatoon.ca and other online services.

If people need to contact the city at this time, they can phone 306-975-2476 or 9-1-1 in case of an emergency.

City Hall is closed today for Easter Monday.
