KELOWNA–It was a come from behind victory for the Kelowna Rockets at Prospera Place.
It didn’t look good for the Rockets in the first period, when the Winterhawks scored three unanswered goals.
But things turned around with back to back goals by the Rockets.
Some tense moments at the end of the first, when the puck bounced off Tyrell Goulboourne’s skate, into his own net, but it didn’t beat the buzzer.
No goal.
Some good back and forth play in the second, the score is 4-3 Portland heading into the third.
The Rockets owned the third, picking up momentum, tying the game seven minutes in, then taking the lead seconds later.
The Winterhawks pulled their goalie, but it didn’t help at all.
It was the Kelowna Rockets with a 5-4 win.
