VANCOUVER – New Westminster police have charged 52-year-old Fred William Bilaway with one count of sexual assault.
Police say a woman reported a sexual assault to them after she responded to a Craigslist ad for a waitress / bartender position at a local bar. Bilaway was charged on March 20 and is set to appear in court on May 5.
But police believe there may be other victims.
“We have released a photograph of the accused Bilawey because we believe that there are other victims and witnesses who have information that may further the police investigation,” said Sgt. Diana McDaniel. “We encourage anyone who has been a victim of these sexual assaults or has any other information relating to these crimes to please contact Detective Constable Miszkurka at 604-529-2435 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.”
