NORTH OKANAGAN — Officials in the North Okanagan are gearing up for another flood season and the numbers show flooding is a definite possibility again this year.
The Regional District of North Okanagan says this season’s snowpack readings are above normal.
It says water content in the snow is at 137 per cent above normal for this time of year.
The regional district says water storage levels are also above average.
The good news is the BC River Forecast Centre is predicting near normal stream run-off and precipitation this spring and summer.
