Man in hospital after west-end Toronto fire

TORONTO – A man is in hospital after a fire in Toronto’s west end but authorities say he is expected to survive.

Fire officials say the blaze began just before 7 a.m. at a home on Palmerston Avenue near College Street and Spadina Avenue.

There’s no word yet on what caused it.
