Watch video above: (prior to highway reopening) Truck rollover causes massive traffic backup on Highway 427
TORONTO – A stretch of a Toronto highway has reopened after a truck rollover that caused massive delays during the morning rush.
Provincial police tweeted that all southbound express lanes were clear around 1 p.m.
They say a transport truck crashed just before 6 a.m. near the Burnhamthorpe Road exit of the Highway 427 southbound express lanes.
That forced motorists onto the collectors lanes and at one point, traffic was backed up to Highway 401.
They say no one was hurt and it’s still unclear what caused the collision.
