April 14, 2014. I’m going to be wearing my Spamalot T-shirt on the weather tonight as a reminder that the Monty Python musical opens tomorrow night at the Yates. It runs nightly at 8pm until Sunday with a couple of matinees on Saturday and Sunday. It’s been a privilege to be in the show as the Historian. I’ve been watching some brilliantly talented performers bring their own spin to some very funny characters. Hope you come. It’s not true that director Brian Quinn made us all eat spam for the entire month of April to justify the title.
Chelsea Tailfeathers will be on Scene & Heard tonight. She is a beautiful young gal from the Blood Reserve who’s been going to school in New York. She’s heading down to New Mexico this month as part of the World Indian pageant. Chelsea is very proud of her culture and is an excellent role model. I suspect you’re going to be hearing a lot more about Chelsea in years to come.
Jeff Gunderson is a local comedian who is one of the openers for the Mike Dambra show this Thursday night at Scores. Jeff has been honing his craft at various open mic nights and has promised to reveal the real reason why the chicken crossed the road. (Not really, I just made him say that.)
