WINNIPEG – Global News Winnipeg won the Trina McQueen RTDNA Award on the weekend for the Focus Manitoba program Remembrance Day 2013.
The annual award for the best Television News Information Program in the Prairies was given for the Nov. 9 episode of Focus Manitoba.
“Every veteran featured in this episode had an amazing story to tell, not just because of what they witnessed and lost overseas, but because of the way they lived their lives when they came home, with purpose and love for this country,” Focus Manitoba host Lauren McNabb said about the award.
“Focus Manitoba gives us the time to tell these stories and I am so thankful to the creative photographers and incredible editors at Global Winnipeg.”
