Police have not confirmed exactly where he was found.

Police said the young boy will be reunited with his father.

Investigators had sought the public’s help in finding eight-year-old Matthew Zhang, who was last seen Sunday morning when his father dropped him off at his mother’s residence in Mississauga.

Police believe the mother, Wei Chen, had fled the jurisdiction with her son. They say Chen doesn’t have custody of the boy, and isn’t able to take proper care of him. It’s not clear yet if Chen will face charges.
