Vancouver Police are looking for a missing nine-year-old boy, last seen at about 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
Const. Brian Montague says Joseph Benjamin Billy was last seen at his home near Boundary and Wellington Street. Police and his family are obviously very concerned for his safety.
Joseph is described as 5’0″ tall, 100 lbs, with a slim build and black shaved hair. He is believed to be wearing faded blue jeans, blue and black basketball shoes and a red and black skull jacket with a zipper that turns into a skull mask. His white and black backpack and his favourite soccer ball are not at home and it is believed that Joseph may have taken them with him.
Police say he is familiar with how to use the Skytrain and buses, but has no money and no phone with him.
Area searches by police along with checks of local hospitals, transit and other police jurisdictions have failed to turn up any signs of the missing nine-year-old.
Anyone who sees Joseph Benjamin Billy is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately and stay with him until police arrive.
