Warm weather for Toronto, but cold isn’t too far behind

TORONTO – Have you been enjoying the warm weather? Don’t get too comfortable.

It seems like Mother Nature doesn’t know what to do. She’s certainly not able to be “normal,” that’s for sure.

While the normal daytime temperature is 11 C for this time of year in the GTA, temperatures have been around 15 C the past few days and are expected to climb to close to 20 C Sunday to Monday, far above normal. But on Tuesday, things take a turn for the worst, as in well below normal.

Temperatures will dip back down to about 3 C with a chance of rain and snow. Yes. Snow on Tuesday.

But it could be worse: The latest date for snowfall for Toronto was on May 7, 1976, when 2.3 cm fell at Pearson. At least we’re nowhere near that date.

Let’s hope the winter weather will be done with us by then.
