EDMONTON – Two people have been arrested after what RCMP call a significant seizure of stolen property in the eastern Edmonton/Strathcona County area.
Following a three-month long investigation, officers conducted a search warrant on Tuesday at a residential property in east Edmonton.
The following stolen property, illegal drugs, and weapons were located and seized by police:
- 2007 Ford F350 truck

- loaded .45 caliber Glock handgun
- numerous swords and knives

Drug paraphernalia related to drug trafficking, tools, personal documents, stolen mail and $2,200 cash was also seized from the residence.
RCMP say the approximate value of the stolen vehicles is $80,000. The approximate street value of the seized drugs is $6,500.
“Definitely a significant seizure of property,” said Cst. Elissa Purvis, media relations with the Strathcona County RCMP. “There were minimal drugs that were found, but they are still illegal and there was indication of trafficking.”
As a result, 33-year-old Cody Buck Sugg and 34-year-old Denise Rae LaRouche, both of Edmonton, have each been charged with the following offences:

LaRouche has also been charged with one count of Possession of a Firearm while Prohibited.
Purvis says the pair was known to police.
“As far as I know they were both living in the residence,” she said. “And they were both arrested inside the residence without incident when the search warrant was executed.”
Buck and LaRouche are scheduled to appear in Sherwood Park Provincial Court on Wednesday, April 23.
