MAESTRO FRESH WES – Canadian rapper, record producer and actor Maestro Fresh Wes is guest host on the national edition of The Morning Show. The Juno award winning artist is widely regarded as the “Godfather of Canadian hip hop.” Currently, he plays the role of Paul Dwyer on the CBC Television program Mr. D.

CARLOS SALDANHA – Brazilian director Carlos Saldanha joins us in-studio to talk about the success of his animated films. He has directed such favorites as Ice Age, Rio and Robots. For 2017, he is directing an animated feature film adaptation of The Story of Ferdinand.

TANGO LEGEND – Recently reviewed as “truly fiery”Tango Legends brings to the stage the soul of Argentina in a spectacular show. The group consists of 14 award-winning dancers, a remarkable quintet and 2 skillful singers. The group was founded by leading Tango dancers and choreographers Mariela Maldonado and Pablo Sosa, who were honoured by the government of Capital Province of Buenos Aires as “Outstanding Personalities of Culture” in 2012. The show plays tonight at the Sony Centre. TORONTO SHOW ONLY

COLIN BOYD SHAFER – Cosmopolis Toronto is a unique documentary photography project that aims to celebrate Toronto’s diversity while sharing the compelling stories of its residents. Created by Canadian photographer and social sciences teacher Colin Boyd Shafer, the goal of Cosmopolis Toronto is to photograph and chronicle the stories of Torontonians born in 193 different countries. TORONTO SHOW ONLY

TIFF KIDS FESTIVAL – TIFF Kids, one of the premier children’s film festivals in the world, offers a diverse slate of programming from Canada and around the globe. The event includes opportunities to engage in discussions with filmmakers and special guests to further explore ideas, themes, storytelling techniques, and much more. HANNAFORD FESTIVAL OF BRASS – Hannaford Street Silver Band presents the 11th Annual Festival of Brass, Canada’s largest Brass Festival. Raymond Tizzard, one of Toronto’s most active professional trumpet players and guest conductor Patrick Sheridan joins us to talk about the unique event. TORONTO SHOW ONLY

DISH DO-OVER – Writer and chef Jo Lusted discusses her new book, Dish Do-Over. Jo will present 3 finished dishes, and chat about tips and tricks used in the book.
