The types of trash you can add to your recycling will soon be expanded.
That’s thanks to a new program being introduced province-wide next month.
The new program will add approximately 10 items to the list of recyclables, including milk cartons and coffee cups.

While some local businesses worry changes to the recycling system will mean more costs passed on to consumers.
The company running the program – Multi Materials BC – says the cost of recycling will be borne by producers, not consumers or taxpayers.
The new rules come into effect on May 19th.
