CALGARY – There’s good news for golfers eagerly anticipating the opening of their favourite Calgary courses – many are preparing to swing open their doors next week.
The Shaganappi Point Driving Range opens on Saturday, April 5th — while the courses at McCall Lake, Confederation and Shaganappi Point (including the other two driving ranges) are scheduled to open during the week of April 7th.
However, officials warn the schedule is tentative and based on weather and course conditions.
This year, the City of Calgary has unveiled a new app for players who want to learn more about city courses.
The app has an interactive scorecard, GPS yardage, satellite hole flyover, online tee time bookings, special offer notifications and news updates.
The app is free and can be downloaded at the Apple App Store or Android Market by searching “the City of Calgary Golf Courses.”
