A 500-ton girder has been lifted into place at the Seaspan shipyard in North Vancouver this morning.

Members of Ironworkers Union Local 97 were involved with moving this main girder for the shipyard gantry crane.
It is one of the larger lifts ever completed in Vancouver.
A special crane with a 1400-ton lifting capacity was brought in for the job.
