Kevin gets marketing ADVice from William Joseph Communications

Marketing is a strange evolution that happens right before our eyes and right under our noses.

We remember the three-dimensional logos featured on Google, Facebook and others, that have since been brought back to two-dimensional. Is this the de-evolution of these logos, or the modernization thereof?

It’s a beautiful blend of arts and sciences, and it’s the first of many such segments.  I can’t wait to learn more.

Is the Traffic Bridge soon to become a horse bridge? Joelle looks at that in the Breakfast Buzz

In the latest development on the traffic bridge debate, city council is looking at a proposal to rebuild the bridge and restrict the users to horses and horse-drawn buggies. The main reason behind this proposal is the “environmental benefits”, according to the report.

The city hopes to get federal funding through the Federal Green Initiatives Program, and will also take a look at developments such as hitching posts, waste clean-up and other funding strategies.

Ward 1 city councillor Darren Hill brought this topic to city hall, and will be at the forefront of the development. He says they are looking at models out of Vancouver and New York that will help in working out the finer details of horse-drawn travel in Saskatoon.

Kevin gets some fitness tips for gardeners

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

In Meet the Mayor, Jessica discusses P3s, potholes, art and a winter snow park with Mayor Atchison

Pot holes, pot holes, pot holes. What else is there to talk about?

Melissa learns an Irish dance step at the Blakey School of Irish Dance

This morning I had a chance to hang out with a talented bunch of dancers. These four young people were the perfect display of where dedication and talent can get you.

Next week Danica, Alissa, Caleb and Ben will be representing our province on the world stage. They have been training six days a week for this moment and I’m sure they’ll do us proud.

Today I had a chance to get a lesson from the pros and I absolutely loved it. Mind you, my foot work wasn’t as fancy as theirs but what I really enjoyed was how fast-paced Irish dancing can be.

It’s a beautiful form of dance and the student from the Blakey School of Irish Dance should be very proud of this great accomplishment.
