TORONTO – Durham Regional Police say they have positively identified the body of missing Whitby jogger as that of Jeffrey Boucher.
Investigators say they believe the body, found Saturday afternoon by a person walking along the shore of Lake Ontario, showed no signs of trauma and added they don’t suspect foul play.
There was no trace of him until March 11 when one of his shoes was found near the Heydenshore Pavilion.
Police say further lab tests are scheduled to determine the actual cause of death, however, the results may take several weeks.
Boucher went missing January 13th after it’s believed he left his Whitby home that morning to go jogging.
