Winnipeg Jets’ wives cook up True North fundraiser

WINNIPEG – Jets Gear stores will carry a cookbook along with hockey gear and NHL souvenirs starting Wednesday.

The wives of Winnipeg Jets players teamed up with author Marisa Curatolo to produce Our Jets at Home, a glimpse into the kitchens and cooking rituals of the hockey players and their families.

It features more than 50 recipes, including Kane’s chicken wings, Stuart’s beef stew and Byfuglien’s tomato vodka penne.

Proceeds from the book will go to the Winnipeg Jets True North Foundation, the charitable arm of the NHL team. The foundation helps fund local charities that help children and youth, with a focus on healthy living.
