Abbotsford Police are on the lookout for a man who tried to sexually assault a woman on Saturday, March 22.
Police say the 57-year-old woman was walking on Discovery Trail in the 3600 block of Clearbrook Road, just before 5 p.m., when she noticed a man walking the same route.
After she came around a curve in the path the man confronted her, pulled his pants down and tried to grab her. The woman hit him with her umbrella and ran towards the picnic area.
Police say she was extremely shaken but managed to call police. Meanwhile, the suspect drove out of the park in a white vehicle and went southbound down Clearbrook Road.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his late 30s. He has a slim build and stands approximately 6’0” tall. He was wearing white pants and a black hoodie.
He was reportedly driving a white, four-door sedan with a partial plate containing “784”.
