KELOWNA — Tickets for the first two games of the Kelowna Rockets second round Western Hockey League playoff series vs. Seattle will go on sale on Monday morning at 9:30 a.m. through Select Your Tickets.
The Rockets have home ice advantage in the best-of-seven series that opens with game one in Kelowna this Thursday night followed by game two on Saturday night.
Both games start at 7:05 p.m. from Prospera Place.
Tickets can be purchased online through www.selectyourtickets.com, at the Prospera Place box office, or by phone at 250-762-5050.
It’s the second straight post-season the Rockets and Thunderbirds will meet. Last year the two teams met in the first round in an epic series that saw Kelowna come back from down 3-0 to Seattle to win the series, becoming just the second team in WHL history to complete the rare come-back.
Five of the seven games in the series went to overtime, including the seventh and deciding game, won by a Tyson Baillie goal.
The Rockets and Thunderbirds both needed five games to get past the first round this year. Kelowna beat Tri-City in five games with a 4-1 win on Friday night while Seattle ousted Everett in five games, ending that series on Saturday night.
