REGINA – While commander of the International Space Station, Chris Hadfield was well-known for making videos of himself playing his guitar and taking photos of earth and posting them to Twitter.
“I love downtown Regina. The water and the buildings and the gardens, even in late March,” said Chris Hadfield at the airport Friday morning. “I saw so many views of the prairies from space, this season in fact, a year ago,”
He told Global News many of us use fear as an excuse for not doing something.
“But if you actually dig into it and figure out what you’re actually afraid of and try and figure out how you’re going to deal with it, it opens up doors,” said Hadfield. “I mean who wouldn’t be afraid of riding a rocket ship or living in a little aluminum bubble, away from the earth for six months. But if you can figure out a way to do it, how to concur your fear, then some amazing opportunities open up to you.”
Hadfield was in Regina to speak at a humanitarian event and also to a group of grade six students.
