WINNIPEG – The 103rd Grey Cup game will be coming to Winnipeg in 2015, officials confirmed Wednesday. The news had been leaked and widely reported earlier in the week.
The Canadian Football League’s championship game will be played November 29th, 2015 at Investors Group Field.
“Winnipeg has some of the most passionate fans, a team on the rise, and a new stadium, so we have all of the makings for a great show,” said Premier Greg Selinger at a press conference Wednesday.
Officials say it’s a great way to show off the city and host Canadians coming from coast to coast.
There are 33,000 seats at the stadium now but 8,000 will be added at the end zones for a total of 41,000.
Tickets will be available for season ticket holders in February 2015 and open to the general public in June 2015.
The game will be played November 29, 2015.
