TORONTO – Three more astronauts are headed to the International Space Station Tuesday night as part of the station’s Expedition 39.

Flight Engineers Alexander Skvortsov, Steve Swanson and Oleg Artemyev are scheduled to launch from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 5:17 p.m. EDT for a six-hour ride to join crewmates Commander Koichi Wakata and Flight Engineers Rick Mastracchio and Mikhail Tyurin aboard the ISS.

The three new members will dock after four orbits around Earth, with a targeted hatch opening of 12:45 a.m. EDT.
