SASKATOON – A suspect in a fatal Ontario crash may have fled to Saskatoon after he failed to appear in court.

Abdullahi Mohamoud, 24, is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant after allegedly failing to remain at the scene of a crash at Mississauga, Ont. gas station in 2011.

He is accused of striking an employee of a gas station while fleeing after a gas and dash on May 19, 2011. The employee died the following day.

Mohamoud failed to appear in court in August 2012 and has been at large since. He is charged with criminal negligence causing death, failing to remain at the scene of a crash causing death, theft, driving while suspended and failing to comply with an undertaking.

Peel police have received information leading them to believe he is now in Saskatoon.
