If you’re a cheese lover, you’ll want to be up and watching at 6:45 as we crack an 84-lb wheel of cheese! We’ll have help from Federico Donati from Parmigiano-Reggiano cheesemaker Mulino and Troy White, Director of Deli Operations for Loblaws.  They’ll also tell us about the Guinness World Record cheese-cracking attempt they’ll be a part of this weekend.

It’s the end of an era for the historic Roy Building in downtown Halifax. The building is being demolished to make room for luxury condos. At 7:15, we’ll reminisce with two people who have spent many hours in the Roy – Valerie Mansour and Geoff D’Eon.

The Halifax Mooseheads are starting their playoff run on Friday night against Charlottetown, and fans are hoping they’ll be able to repeat the Memorial Cup win of 2013.  We’ll sit down with John Moore, the voice of the Mooseheads at 7:45 to talk about the team and their chances in 2014.

We can’t let the first few days of Burger Week 2014 go by without having at least one tasting live in studio! Our guest at 8:15 will be Drew Voegeli, owner of Relish Halifax, with his Mac Attack and something he calls the Kool-Aid pickle.

Jeremy Webb is back with Off the Leash at 8:45, with a full report on the launch of the 2014 Neptune Theatre season, and the Women Making Waves conference.
