At 6:45, we’ll meet Maggie MacDonald, Toxic Program Manager with Environmental Defence Canada. She’ll tell us about five chemicals they want to see eliminated from every home, and what you can do to clean them away.

Parry Aftab is at it again.  The founder of StopCyberbullying.org is in our region with Carol Todd, the mother of Amanda Todd, to speak to youth leaders and parents in Halifax, and to lead the International Stop Cyberbullying NB Youth Summit in Woodstock this weekend. Parry and Carol will be in at 7:15 to tell us more about their message.

There is plenty of despair to be found with a cancer diagnosis, but there can be hope as well.  That’s the message of  comedian, author and cancer survivor Robert Hawke.   The Friends of Gilda’s Nova Scotia are presenting his Hope Workshop this week. We’ll meet Robert Hawke and Tamsyn Brennan of Friends of Gilda’s Nova Scotia at 7:45.

The puppets are packed and the team of performers from Mermaid Theatre are ready to head to the Kingdom of Bahrain to present The Very Hungry Caterpillar & Other Eric Carle Favourites. We’ll talk to Lisa Gleave and Jim Morrow of Mermaid about this first-ever trip at 8:15.

Remember this name – Makayla Lynn.  The 12-year-old performer is just back from Nashville where she’s just recorded her first album.  We predict big things for this young singer-songwriter, and you’ll hear why at 8:45.
